Every movie or television show needs extras in there movies. Usually those who play extras have a limited amount of lines and play a person in the background or in environment. Look for ads in Craigslist or your local paper if you know that a production is going to be happening near your area. Its worth a look as you might get some work.

A lot of independent films with low budgets that don’t have the money to get big named actors will usually hold auditions and casting calls. Look in trade publications like Variety and Backstage for audition listings for these indy films. Be aware though as these types of jobs have been known to exploit people, make sure you are careful and do your research. These types of jobs are either good or bad, they can be an very good experience or it can be really bad.
To reach the top in the show biz industry you must be very focused, persistent, and have the passion to persevere. You must have passion and drive to make it, as you can’t do it on talent alone. Always be on the look out for actors needed ads and you will one day find a role for yourself.
