Magic Tricks Done With Cards, This Mind Reading Trick Is Easy Enough For A Child To Do.

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

“Forcing a card” is the name of a famous magic card trick and what we have done is made a version of this trick. It is a favourite of magicians  probably because it is so amazing to witness yet so easy to perform. This easy trick could be convincing even when a child performs it.

Tools:

All that is needed is a deck of cards, any kind or size will do.

For starters:

Prepare your deck of cards beforehand by choosing one card that will be the one you want your audience to choose. You are the one that chose the card despite the fact that they think they have made the decision. It is important to remember which card you choose. Remembering which card you have is the only real skill in the trick. Actually, remembering the card that you choose beforehand is the only hard part of the trick. Put the card you chose before on the top of the deck.

This is the first step:

Someone must select a number between five and ten so group together some people and ask a single person. It does not matter which number they choose. It could be, eight, five, nine, ten, seven or six. Keep the cards face down. When they tell you the number that they want you say, “I want you to count down to ten using the deck of cards. Here, I will show you how.” After you tell them this you take the deck of cards and deal them into a pile beginning your count with the number they chose. For instance, if they picked the number seven you would take the top card and lay it face down on the table saying, “Seven”. Now the remainder of the cards will be dealt out while you count them continuing from the first card for instance, “eight, nine and ten.” Remember the ëforced card’ which you chose at the start well this card is now on the top of the deck on the table.

Gather up the cards you have just counted and placed on the table and place them on top of your pile but keep them facing down. Give the audience member the deck of cards and ask them to count to ten while going through them. The cards will be laid out by them. Now explain how the tenth card is the one they chose but do not let them show you what it is. Ask them to show it to their friends but don’t let you see it.

The Grand Finale:

Let them see that you are concentrating very hard on thinking of their card and you will let them know what it is. When you are done pretending you have psychic powers you turn to them and proclaim, “the card you have is aÖ” You chose a ëforced card’, this is the same as the chosen card by the audience member and also the one at the top of the deck. If the Ace of Spades was your chosen card then you would insist, “You are holding in your hands the Ace of Spades my friend.” They have to be carrying this card of course. They will never know you chose the card and convinced them to choose the same one. The trick will leave them shocked.

Students Of Illusion Magic And Magicians

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Whoever invented illusion magic must certainly have felt that they had created a magic system that was perfect and which would remain unfathomable for all times to come. In essence, we consider everything that we can feel and touch as well as hear and see as being reality and so magic would mean something that dictates what we feel and see and hear and perhaps touch. This in turn means that illusion magic is the ultimate in magic that would, if mastered, make the magician capable of doing virtually anything.

Not Perfect

However, in reality it is erroneous to consider illusion magic as being perfect though it is certainly very interesting while also quite confusing as well. In fact, this form of magic happens to be a topic around which there is so much debate that it deserves a special mention whenever the topic of magic is being discussed.

True understanding of illusion magic can only be experienced if a person delves very deeply into the deepest recesses of the human psyche and in fact, according to sages, the understanding of magic would actually be incomplete unless a person is able to understand them. A master of illusion magic will of course be extremely adept at casting tactile, visual as well as auditory as too taste and scent illusions and will also be someone that can accomplish their tasks with consummate ease.

The difference between a student of illusion magic and a master of this art is that when told to “make an apple” the student will only ensure that the apple crunches when bit upon whereas the master will go deep into the subject of an apple and point out its many flaws, or to be more exact, lack of flaws in the apple.

Magicians know and have mastered the art of making the human mind, so intent on perceiving perfection of form, react dramatically when the mind is made to face up to anything that defies this notion of perfection that exists in most people’s minds. Actually, sorcerers will have to realize this fact that individuals react differently when they see the effects of illusion magic.

Creating an apple is the secret of their success that might seem not perfect to an observer, that might have the effect of making the apple seem actually more real to them. Additionally, quite a few people are not too responsive to illusions as the others. So, a non-responsive observer would deny that the illusion magic trick even took place while a responsive observer would believe the opposite thereby giving rise to debate on illusion magic. Nevertheless, there is a bit of illusion magic in everyone, which can best be seen in the way people try to look more glamorous than they really are.
