The digital SLR market is like one huge boxing arena. Everybody wants to win and to emerge a victor, camera manufacturers aim for a killer left hook. Below is a Nikon D90 review:

Presently, the newest Nikon D90 holds the world title. Many consumers in many parts of the world have become fans right away, with its “feature-packed fistful of photo fury” as one consumer puts it. Read on to see how other people view the D90:

I am very pleased with this camera. It captures excellent images in automatic setting; you will be very happy if you need to be imaginative with the manual settings. The video mode is a nice feature as well. While the camera does not feature an auto focus for the video mode, it comes out still nice.

 The D90 is a great piece of technology; the 18-105mm lens package is a good start. I am utilizing the factory settings for around 95% of capturing. When you put your images on the web, you will not see the differences between pro cameras and D90.

The Nikon D90’s controls are very simple and easy to learn. Even an absolute amateur can shoot good images the very first day. It is my new hobby and pet.

Nikon D90 Review

The newest Nikon D90 is a great camera. You will agree with me when I say it is the smartest DX format DSLR available today. Read the Nikon D90 review below.

The D90 is packed with the coolest features, upgrading some from the Nikon D300 and Nikon D80. I find the D80 and D300 excellent, but the D90 is even better.

What floored is that the D90 costs much less than the D300, D80, and D3. This is what is good about the digital camera market: The newest product are often better than their predecessors, for much less cost.

If you are considering getting a D300, forget it and go for the D90 instead. I bought my Nikon D90 two months ago, and it has yet to disappoint me. And I do not think it will ever let me down.

The Nikon D90 offers improved photo quality than the D80 and D300, with many features packed in a lightweight plastic package. In terms of ease of use, the D90 does not disappoint. Its simplicity enables you to capture the most excellent photos.

It is not surprising why Nikon’s newest camera delivers and exceeds a lot of expectations. For one, the Nikon D90 is backed by over 60 years of constant innovation and development. This is the reason for the camera’s more intelligent features.

Here are some highlights: 12.3 MP DX-format CMOS imaging sensor; continuous shooting as fast as 4.5 frames-per-second; and HD movie mode (the world’s first). This camera also sports a 3-inch high-density LCD monitor as well as low-noise ISO sensitivity.

The Nikon D90 also features built-in image sensor cleaning and one-button Live View. It features in-camera Image Editing, all-inclusive exposure control, and high precision and durable shutter.

Many will agree if I say that the Nikon D90 is one extraordinary DSLR. Overall, it is a top-class digital camera that makes camera reviewers recommend it highly.

Advantages of the Nikon D90 Camera

The Nikon D90 camera looks so much like the Nikon D80. When I got my D90 at last, I had to check the badge twice just to ensure I got the right DSLR.

Because the D90 appears similar to its precursor, it looks as if this camera is one of those with subdued incremental upgrades. Not true. Look more closely and you will see that the D90 offers cool features that may excite Nikon fans.

Autofocus system

The D90 viewfinder, like the Nikon D80 viewfinder, sports an AF system (11-point) in a diamond arrangement. Still goes by the name of Multi-Cam 1000, like on the D80, the D90’s AF engine has been improved to include three-dimensional focus tracking. It also has the advantage of Face Detection that will bias AF points to go in favor of eyes over noses as well as other objects present in a scene.

Live view

Activating the Live shooting feature on other Nikon cameras means turning the Drive Mode control to Lv, hen you should press the shutter button to lock up the mirror. This is hardly intuitive, but the D90 has a Live view button on its back, right of the LCD. Your thumb can easily reach this.

Scene recognition feature

Nikon has been developing the scene recognition system for years; they are now harvesting the fruit of their efforts. Their latest models have seen improvements to the system. The Nikon D90 comes with this feature.

Overall

Owners of the nice D80 will definitely drool over the D90. Building on the strength of its ancestor, the D90 has a lot going for it.

Building on the might of the D80, the D90 has many exciting things going for it. This latest offering from Nikon upgrades a number of specs and comes with several new features over the excellent D80.

In general, the D90 is a great DSLR offering. Highly recommended.

The D90 sells at $999.95 in the United States for the body only and at $1299.99 with the body plus the Nikkor AF-S DX 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. Now is the perfect time to purchase a Nikon D90.

The Nikon D90 has a great ergonomics, which I really love. It is tight, solid, and well-balanced with the 18-105 VR lens. The Nikon D90 is forever ready to capture pictures and it shoots really fast.

This great model sports direct access buttons that you can use with much ease. What is more, buy Nikon D90 if you want to shoot HD videos, which is a great deal. If you would like to broaden your horizons, you can test the waters by exploring and experimenting with moving pictures.

You can change the shutter speeds, exposures, and lenses. Also, you can make beautiful effects that are not possible when you use a regular video camera. If you are after image quality, then get the Nikon D90 now.

I cannot ask for more. The light metering is fine, looking accurate in almost every instance. I have been trying my Nikon D90 in many lighting conditions, and I am glad it gives me great results most of the time.

If you are into action photography, like wildlife or sports, then buy Nikon D90 gear. I am betting you will like the camera’s ultra-fast autofocus. Nikon rises AF to new heights; the camera leverages 9 focus points in a precise array.

You will also love the fact that you can shoot continuously at 4.5 fps. There are numerous other reasons why you should buy Nikon D90 gear, but space does not permit to enumerate them all here.

In general, the Nikon D90 deserves all the raves it gets from consumer reviewers. I will end all this raving by saying that the D90 is the best of its kind today.
